Our Ethos and Values
Values are fundamental expressions of what we think and believe. As a school we encourage children to think about personal and social values, to become aware of, and involved in the life and concerns of their community and society, and so develop their capacity to be active and effective future citizens.
The Thinking Schools Federation’s Core Rights Respecting Values Are:

Respect
Everyone is different and that is ok. I will take the opinions and beliefs of others into consideration even if they are not the same as my own.
Friendship
We share, play together and laugh with each other. We make sure everyone is included so that we can all have fun together.
Responsibility
I will take care of myself, my friends and the school. I will think about how my actions affect others and the environment.
Perseverance
I will keep going even when something is hard. I will challenge myself and understand that making mistakes is a part of my learning.
Kindness
I will show my care through my words and actions.
Empathy
I will be aware and understand the feelings of others around me. I will try to understand how others views and feelings can be different to my own.
Justice
I will make sure I am being fair. I must treat everyone; children and adults fairly and equally.
